Nov 15th, 2008 | By Andreas Göbel | Category: Articles in English | Trackback URLCommunication and an exchange of experiences instead of playing hardball: the companies on the banks of the River Main in Lower Franconia have read the signs of the times. In the automation and automotive industries as well as in IT and logistics, the most innovative companies of the region have united in networks. Their aim: increasing their interaction and cooperation in order to upgrade the region as an industrial base and generate substantial advantages in international competition.
Under the umbrella of the so-called ‘KompetenzNetze’ networks on the banks of the River Main, experts, companies, and associations share a communication platform. Specialist discussions provide the opportunity to exchange ideas and establish contacts. A close cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Aschaffenburg guarantees for a fresh breeze of ideas and a new generation of skilled academics.
Such an association brings decisive advantages for external communication, too. When many companies stand united and speak with one voice, it goes without saying that the interests and ideas of the industry can be communicated and implemented more easily. Especially in times when the economic perspectives seem to be diminishing, this concept can be considered a promising step into the right direction. Already now, the list of members of the KompetenzNetze reads like a Who’s Who of the corporate landscape in Lower Franconia.
