A playground for big boys – that is the impression you inevitably get when visiting the ‘International Trade Fair for Assembling and Handling Technology’ MOTEK 2008 in Stuttgart. Things seemed to move at their own will, stopped in midair as if by magic – curious sights and sounds around every corner. In short: the exhibition halls are heaven on earth for modern Gyro Gearlooses who in their childhoods have spent long hours with their engineering sets. A really exciting experience…

But beside many ‘moving moments’ the fair was of special interest to us for a different reason: we had come to Stuttgart on behalf of GERWAH GmbH – one of the leading manufacturers of drive technology – to meet invited representatives of the media during the first two days of the fair. In a relaxed atmosphere and provided with pretzels and Bionade soft drinks, representatives of our customer, specialized journalists, and our PR experts engaged in lively conversation. We discussed the latest generation of shrink disks, evaluated whether preview pictures should be included in a press release, and had a look at the perspectives of the industry. All participants agreed: we had a nice time and established many new contacts.
