In its meeting in February, the local council of Niedernberg decided unanimously in favour of improving the wide-band infrastructure in Nordring and the industrial and business areas bordering on it. The project may be considered a classical PPP measure and can count on the unwavering support of our company. Together with Richard Brunn, managing director of Brunn TK, Benjamin Knöfler has lobbied for the back-up of the local entrepreneurs. Mayor Jürgen Reinhard has put in his weight for the cause in representation of the municipality.

According to the present state of affairs the municipality has to raise 88,000 euros for the development of wide-band Internet connections that will be efficient enough even many years from now; a measure which is necessary to secure the economic future of the area. But actually, the affected companies, among them knoefler-journalist, had offered well in advance to contribute their share in expenses to relieve the purse of the municipality. Now, that the companies have promised financial ‘help’ of 32,000 euros, the town councillors of Niedernberg waved the partnership project through. Jürgen Reinhard was finally given the go-ahead to sign the contracts with the telecommunication company Deutsche Telecom. If everything works out as planned, the first high-speed connections can already go on stream by the end of 2008.
