Social-media marketing: Zell am See-Kaprun pampers bloggers in need of a holiday
Oct 27th, 2009 | By Christine Noe | Category: Articles in English | Trackback URL‘This is the smartest and most efficient blogger campaign I have ever seen’, is one of the first reactions of a German blogger to this creative marketing strategy. Our client Zell am See-Kaprun Tourismus GmbH is making the test: what is a trip to Pinzgau like when holidaymakers leave their cars in the garage? ‘Plane vs. Train’ is the name of the challenge which takes two bloggers to the Alpine paradise. As a reward for publishing contributions about their experiences during the journey and their holiday adventures, the two of them can spend an entire week in Zell am See-Kaprun for free!
To participate in this campaign, you only have to post a contribution on your blog on why you think that you are absolutely made for this job and include a trackback. By the end of October the lucky winners will be announced. ‘That is definitely a creative way to use one’s budget’ says another German comment on the respective post on the region’s blog.
The only question to be answered now is who came up with this great idea. This campaign is the result of the tried-and-tested cooperation of the region’s social-marketing expert Rainer Edlinger and our team! The background: Zell am See-Kaprun is one of the partners of the campaign ‘Mit der Bahn in den Schnee’ (To the snow by train) by Germany’s national railway company Deutsche Bahn AG. Now we beat the drum for Pinzgau and travelling by train via Web 2.0, too…
